The twentie first day of November Anno domini 1622 I William Barrell of West Bagborowe in the Diocis of Bath and Welles, Sicke of bodie but in perfecte memorie thanks be to Almighty God, make and bequeath this my last will and testement I myrimis I bequeath my soule to Almightie God and my dodie to be buried in the church yarde of West Bagbrowe. Item, I give to my daughter Alice Barrell seventie eight pound and eight poundes of wooll. Item i give Agnis Barrell daughter of Robert Barrell my heyfer calfe. Item, I give to William Barrell, son of Robert Barrell two e pences?. Item, I give to my daughter Alice Barrell my great farme after the decease of my wife. Item, I give to my sonne Robert Barrell fortie shillinges the table bourd the benche the forme the wedges the besgne the sawe. Item, I give to my wife the cuboude and the best beds furnishe and fower yeowes. Item, I give to my godchildren six e pence a peice. Item i give to the poore of West Bagborough four shillinges. Item, I give to Elizabeth Barrell wife of Robert Barrell, one platter. Item, i give to my wife the rest of my housholde stuffe not given during her life and afterwardes to remaine to my executor the rest of my goodes and chattles before not given nor bequeathed, I give and bequeath to my daughter Anstice Barrell whome i doe make full and whole executor of this my last will and testament, and i doe appointe my neighbour John Small and my sonne Robert Barrell executors of this my will William X Barrell, witnes John Smale, Giles Bowden.
